Feeder clubs

Right firstly don't worry guys this isn't a will Buckley rant about the ethnics of feeder clubs...... Queue collective sigh of relief lol!)

Iv had an idea

Paul mentioned in his last news letter about trimming down Italy and hence a few of us are going to have to move clubs, not a problem for me providing I keep my players I spent so long getting together

Iv been tooing and throwing over wanting to have my feeder club in a country like Spain where there's some established clubs (Ian and Matt) to try and maybe one day offer some competition too and also a few other managers possibly heading that way could be a fun competitive league

On the other hand do I want a side that's in it's own league so to have unchallenged access to that nations youngsters and where they can develope in a semi competitive league but one where I won't allow myself to get too competitive, which by nature I do

There would still be a European challenge but I have though of a potential idea that might be very interesting

How about in the same way we have the mixed teams schoolboy academy leagues

A combination feeder club league

All our feeder clubs do battle in a league of there own!

So we have Torino taking on boca, santos vs toulouse

However u still retain the right to NEW in players in from your clubs home nation at the discounted rate


Maybe the league has it's own prize pool too, but it means we retain our feeder clubs and their ability to source young talent but we take on what could be a cracking challenge !

Playing a human opponent week in week out would be great and could really revamp things a little, certainly would make looking for that second result a little more interesting

Any thoughts?

Boca are the most successful team in the game in terms of trophiews won over the last 3 seasons ..... by miles.

Would add a Nice element of week to week competition something that doesn't maybe exisist currently

r.e feeder clubs...I don't see a problem with Rich having Atletico as feeder club to Leicester. I think you have to look at the 'game' scenario as well as the real world one.

1) do leicester have a better squad than atletico madrid in the game? yes, so they can have AM as a feeder club

2) have atletico madrid spent any of the last 10 seasons in real life outside the top flight? yes, two consecutive ones. 2000-01 and 2001-02.

in my opinion those should be the deciding factors. clubs which shouldnt be feeder clubs are those that have either not spent any of the last 10 seasons outside of their top division or if the potential feeder club has a better playing staff in the game. So, I think its fine for AM to be feeder to Leicester. Leicester currently have a huge amount of financial clout in real life and even though they are in the championship there's huge potential their. AM have flirted with relegation enough times to suggest they are not 'too big' to be a feeder club.

ok. how many top level trophies have feyenoord won in the last ten years compared to Fulham? (league, european, domestic cup) and is it right that they should be feeder club to fulham. discuss.

i beleive they won the uefa cup in 2002? what have fulham won apart from the championship? (in the same year aswell i think)

theyre a total shell of that once great club.

crippling debts, forced to sell star players , i think in the todays game its more than concievable that would lean a little on a now well established London based Premiership club.

10 years is a long time in football.

ask forest fans 30 is even more.....they were once great and all conquering...last 10 years u wouldnt have thought it.

a total shell of a club with a 52,000 seater stadium and 42,000 average home gate.

Man Utd are in debt for about 600m....they're a shell of a club too then!

do united have to sell Rooney and vidic to make sure they pay their wage bill over the close season is covered?

think they had to sell Ronny Ronaldo to cover the Glazers debts didnt they?. What was it?, £54m in interest or something like that!

Ok...perhaps ignore the 50m they've spent this season...I'll find a better example!
