Week 18 Processing World Cup Final

The big game this week is this season's World Cup Final which will once again involve Iain Oliver's Spain who are this season up against Phil Green's France side.

France line up with LLoris in goal

Sagna, Mexes, Koscielny and Clichy at the back

Toulalan protecting the back four

with Nasri raiding from midfield and Benzema in the hole

and Anelka up front with Ribery and Malouda on the wings

a very strong french team who are hoping to prevent Spain winning a hatrick of World Cups alreeady having beaten France and Italy in previous years.

Spain line up with Casillas in goal

Ramos, Puyol, Pique and Enrigue at the back

Xavi, Silva, Fabregas and Iniesta in midfield with

Torres and Villa up front

and its a very well tried and tested lineup and of course Spain are the hot favorites

Wembley is the venue and there are 80,000 fans here today although its is raining lightly.

Spain win the kickoff and the ball goes out to fabregas who is tripped by Clichy straight away, a bit of nerves there i expect.

The freekick is sent over to Villa who dribbles into the box and finds Silva who's shot is narrowly tipped over by Lloris. Good start here by Spain as they put France under immediate pressure.

Don't hold out much hope for France considering they've got 3 of Arsenal's back 4 in there lol!

From the corner France break out with a long ball up to Anelka who finds Malouda who takes advantage of Puyol and Pique and hits a spectacular shot past casillas for the opening goal and after just 8 minutes its

so a senational start here at the World Cup Final as the under dogs take the lead. What did you make of that Alan Hansen. "Well, they just took advantage of the spanish lads pushing on for the corner and by-passed their midfield, it was a tactical master stroke by boss Phil Green and very well executed by the players".

Spain have a freekick here about 25 yards from goal and David Silva goes low but hits the wall and it goes for another corner.

Silva whips in the corner but Lloris punches it clear.

25 minutes gone here and Ramos gets possession and runs out of defence, passes inside to David Villa who holds off the attentions of Toulalan before firing high int the far corner but Lloris makes a great save.

Lloris again denies David Villa from yet another spain corner.

Ramos gets possession again having tackled Malouda finds David Villa again who this time beats Lloris with a quite brilliant goal from the edge of the box, Toulalan couldnt get close to him and Lloris couldnt keep it out and after 36 minutes its now one way traffic with the score

That Is shocking malouda didn't score in 32 games for arsenal then hits a wonder strike. Can't argue with that!

This is a huge game both for glory and finance.

What did you make of that Alan ? "Well spain are just having long pot shots at the moment cos its so crowded in that 18 yard box and one has gone in had to happen eventually".

again Malouda tries to do too much and loses out to Ramos who then feeds Torres who hits a volley that goes just wide.

Five minutes til halftime and France again resort to their long ball up to Anelka. he then finds Benzema who avoids Puyol and shoots just wide.

"That was a good chance they should have made more of that"

the ref blows for halftime and its all square here at 1-1

"Well spain have had more possession but when france go through the middle they look to have the sharper cutting edge, but all to play for still"

right at the start of the second half here and Torres has had the ball taken off his toes by the excellent Hugo Lloris, and he was right through on goal as well.

the French try to break out using the longball again but Pique reads it superbly well that time and intercepts to find Xavi, who avoids Nasri, then shoots hard and low past Lloris for spain's second goal and after 51 minutes its now
