I ran the reset yesterday and data entry is underway. Everybody seems to be here...

For a couple of seasons now I have been passing messages between forum members and non-forum members and I have received a fair bit of feedback most of which has been poor so as from today I will no longer be running this system.

If you want to make a cash bid for a player please use the PERMANENT BID system and the OPENBID dealing to communicate bids to non-forum players. Don't forget these bids are cash only and are seen every week by every player with the free PB special action the system sends to everybody. Each bid resides on the system for 3 weeks or until it is accepted with the relevant SELL dealing.

If you want to make a complex offer then you need to go back to using internal mail, send a note in your orders and I will pass it along.

Sometime in the near future I shall be adding a HAGGLE feature to the PERMANENT BIDS file and BUYOUT clauses to player contracts whereby managers can set auto-sell values on the players they own contracts for. We'll try this for awhile to see if it improves comms between managers.

We had a few issues last week due to large SQUAD SIZES again with player information being overwritten and lost whilst matches were being processed. I was hoping the current maximum of 75 players would be okay but it looks like that needs to come down to 60 so you should prepare for that accordingly over the next few months before I implement it.

I'm aiming for 60 but I will be doing a lot of testing in the coming weeks to determine exactly how many players windows 10 can handle in its file buffers. I have already done some investigating last week after the latest incident of lost players was reported during a european cup match and this issue has not appeared in match reports where both clubs involved have 40 or less players. I'll check the 50s and 60s next week and let you know.

Once the numbers are proven this will probably also effect the maximum sizes of academies as well.

I should also add that I am also exploring alternative ways to process large clubs maybe with something like separate youth clubs for some of the players...

Reserve, Youth and Schoolboy games have kicked off, they'll be followed by the cup games and tomorrow the league games will kickoff, probably at the normal time of 1000 hours...

Good couple of cup results, pleased to go through in both tricky ties.

League games this week as important as always. Charlton need to keep their noses in front of a resurgent Villa and Plymouth in the race for second.

After dropping two points last week uncharacteristically, Nantes need to get back to winning ways in France as the chasing pack really seem to have improved this year. 

Brazilian league the same with Flamengo, Santos and São Paulo all improving immeasurably this season, the race for second is a tense and exciting one that will probably go right to the wire. A win is vital this week to keep Flu’s hopes alive.
