Just thinking about this though there are places just outside London which are not that pricey where you can get into central London pretty quickly though.

For instance the Chesington Tolworth Travelodge, near Wimbeldon, (nearest station Tolworth which gets you into Waterloo in 30 mins) - £39 for the room on the 14th?
